Taha Abbasi is a scam artist who takes advantage of companies in need of a CTO.
This is my honest review of Taha Abbasi, CTO & Scammer.
I am just one of many companies that has been scammed by Taha Abbasi. We’re banning together to warn others so that they do not fall victims like us.
I worked at Simustream in St George, UT, where Taha was CTO, and what Taha is doing to Simustream now, is exact repeat as to what he did when he was CTO at Evelar, in Lehi, UT. Evelar went bankrupt while Taha Abbasi was its CTO. Abbasi held their source code hostage, after being paid millions of dollars to build their technology, and then tried to extort more money from the company owners. ultimately putting them out of business.
It turns out that Abbasi can’t actually build tech and has no proven track record, other than a wake of failed businesses that he’s connected to as a CTO. He’s a fraud and failure, with mal intent. And now, it appears that appear Abbasi is at it again with a rideshare startup company called Tryp Rides. From what I’ve been told, like always, he slyly talked his way into the position of CTO, while simultaneously working for other companies as their “Exclusive CTO” and then systematically attempted to sabotage their company from within by holding their software hostage. Once again, his nefarious pattern of extortion and criminal intent has been put into play.
Taha pretends to be your CTO, but he’s actually working with numerous companies acting as their CTO at the same time that he’s working for you, supposedly exclusively. He’s actually brazen about this, and does this in plain sight, as you can see his “present” positions here on his LinkedIn account, and his personal website:

Amazing that he declared bankruptcy at the young age of 27. There’s a long list of people he’s defrauded over his short life:

Taha, his wife Nichelle, and sister Tuba Abbasi rip off multiple companies at the same time, never actually delivering a product. Taha lives in a $300,000 home in Delaware with his mom, sister and wife, drives an old beat up car, and funnels millions of dollars to Pakistan for who knows what reasons.
Taha Abbasi aliases: Taha S Abbasi, Mark W Lucey, Taha Abbasi, Abassi Taha, M Lucey
Nichelle Abbasi alias: Nichelle Logue
This is a family affair! Taha, Nichelle & Tuba Abbasi are a team of deception. Taha works 3 or more companies at a time, and Nichelle keeps the home fires burning, and Tuba programs, while they scam companies together. Nefarious deeds knows no boundaries… pure evil to screw companies and people over. GREED!
Taha has a long history of deceit, concealing his real background while pretending to be a successful entrepreneur and technology guru. He’s never graduated from college, and lies about graduating from Harvard on his Linkedin, personal website and resume, and has no formal training in tech. He’s just an expert at scamming people and companies. In fact, I would bet that he scammed his wife, Nichelle, into his web of deceit and conned her to deceive people and companies alike. He has no greater love than the love of greed, deception and himself!
Taha commits a high-tech crime. He looks the part, his LinkedIn profile and websites look legit, so that you don’t think twice… however, all you have to do is dig down into his projects/portfolio, and you will find that nothing is verifiable. In fact, he didn’t win any Edge Hackathon Awards; none of his projects can be verified; and if you contact any company listed that he has worked for as a CTO, they will tell you as we’re telling you, that he never delivers a working product, and then he holds your source code hostage until you either pay him his ransom, or you go out of business.
Taha Abbasi & his crimes must be stopped!
